In depth

Verdict

Swansway is invariably thereabouts from this sort of mark though hasn't won since scoring here last summer. Calliope is the other course and distance winner in the line-up and she's only 2lb higher than her victory in July. Mont Royal's lone success came over Beverley's stiff tack but ALBERT BOY won at Thirsk last month and though unable to take advantage of a lower all-weather mark at Southwell he's never run well on the Fibresand. Scott Dixon's charge gets the nod though Jaguar is interesting on his handicap debut as he's related to several winners and has more scope than most. Mr Carbonator's three career victories have all been at Southwell and Firby arrives out of form.
