After being a beaten favourite in a small field at Doncaster last time out, it may not pay to take a short price about Celtic Style here, but he still has plenty in his favour and is taken to score from Wise Tale and Dancinginthestreet. Mark Johnston's charge has had his problems, racing only once last season, but after being brought back steadily this term he almost landed a Thirsk handicap last month and followed that up with a good effort at Doncaster last time. There is still plenty of scope for improvement from him with this step up in trip and he is our idea of the winner, from a yard that are still in great from. If anything is to topple him then it will probably be Dancinginthestreet. The James Given-trained gelding has been tried over a mile and a half and also 14 furlongs so far this campaign, but on each occasion has looked as though even further would suit. Bred to come into his own at this trip, he is well in at the weights on official ratings and could be a bit of value in the race. Wise Tale is much better than his dismal effort behind Jamaican Flight at Pontefract last time suggests and he can make the frame at the expense of that opponent, but the vote here goes to Celtic Style.
