In depth

Verdict

This is possibly the most competitive race on the card and we will take a chance with Welsh Dream, Clouding Over and Time Marches On should be capable of reaching the frame. The selection gained a deserved victory at Kelso last time, when accounting for the in form Ipledgeallegiance. That was his first success for almost two years, but now he has regained the winning habit he looks worth following. Clouding Over, trained by Keith Reveley, came good here last week, beating Bridge Pal by a comfortable three lengths and although the extra distance is a slight concern, he should be involved in the finish. Stable companion Time Marches On landed a Newcastle seller last month and doesn't look overburdened in this better company. Of the others Coy Lad was only beaten 4 lengths by Iris's Gift in his bumper day's and although he would be no match for that superstar these days he could still go well at a big price. So all in all a very tricky event and Welsh Dream is just given the nod
