Verdict

The veteran Snapping Turtle won a better class handicap than this over the course and distance in December from today's rival Bankhall. The latter went one better at Wetherby but has pulled up in both subsequent starts over fences. Houndscourt, who was beaten a long way in that Wetherby contest, has been in much better form subsequently having won on that track a month later and should get into contention. Turtle Cask's last victory was on this track though that was well over a year ago and Brae On has run poorly since returning from a spell over fences. ROBINS LEGEND hasn't had much experience and has yet to win but he performed with credit in two starts at Musselburgh in January and Brian Hughes is on board again so Chris Grant's charge is taken to gain his first success.
