      Verdict

Peter Harris has done well with his runners first time out this season so Christina's Dream has to be respected, along with the progressive Saros, but preference is for Reidies Choice. The selection showed enough in a handicap at Doncaster in May and again last time in a classified stakes race at Redcar in races over this trip to suggest that he can take a hand in this contest and James Given's gelding is taken to open his account for the campaign today. Christina's Dream steps up in trip to seven furlongs having raced three times over six as a juvenile and may improve for the longer trip. She rates a bigger threat than Richard Fahey's Leicester selling winner Willjojo. Nigel Tinkler's Shinko Femme has more to do than when winning a weak handicap at Musselburgh last time and of more interest may be Saros. Bryan Smart's colt has progressed from Banded stakes races to handicaps this summer and has every chance of reversing Musselburgh form with Shinko Femme on the revised terms today. However, this is Reidies Choice optimum trip and he is taken to resume winning ways.
