In depth

Verdict

Gin Cobbler looked impressive at Hexham last time but is upped in grade for this and can sulk if he doesn't get his own way out in front. Carters Rest also likes to race prominently and won over course and distance last month, though may not have much more to give at the age of 12. Toledo Gold may just need this and Shrapnel is struggling for form but Hotgrove Boy is better than he showed at Wetherby last time and beat Gin Cobbler at Sedgefield in March. SERGEANT PINK is getting little respite from the handicapper but is back in the right grade and should be good enough to see these off if in the mood.
