ETHAN'S STAR looks weighted to win this and can do so from Golden Run and Mystified. The selection has run a lot better since being dropped to marks around his current burden including a good run against similar opposition last time out to only just miss out on scoring behind an in form horse. He was well beaten in a hot looking contest previous to that but this is much more his level and he is expected to run a big race. Golden Run has taken a couple of sellers in the last three starts including last time out. He also has won over course and distance but he is not obviously well treated on his handicap debut so might be best watched this time. Mystified is carrying a seven pound penalty for success in selling company on his last appearance and while he has gone better off higher marks in the past, he hasn't hit that sort of form for a while. Emotive has four lengths to find on the selection after the pair clashed last time out while Samizdat is weighted to get into the prizes. It should be minor honours only though with Ethan's Star preferred this time.
