Verdict

VAIHAU (NAP) cruised home at Towcester earlier this month when stepped up to three miles for the first time under today's promising conditional and staying would certainly appear to be the forte of the French-bred gelding on that evidence as he won with so much in hand. The combination are back in action here and taken to follow up in receipt of 9lb from topweight Manballandall, who looks the main threat. Susan Corbett's gelding is all about stamina and his chance would be enhanced should the rains come as both career successes have come on heavy ground. Sealous Scout has ability but is hard to catch right and the consistent Jackies Solitaire looks better shortlist material, especially as it will be interesting to see how she performs on her first run since moving to Peter Bowen from the Honeyball yard.
