Verdict

Dee Star has been a regular here though he was not at his best on Saturday when requiring plenty of encouragement from the saddle throughout. Larry Looby has been thrust a further 8lb up the handicap for winning here last month having already gone up by a significant figure for the victory that preceded it. Canelo was racing off marks in the high 140s when trained by Alan King but is yet to show much for Ben Haslam so it could be worth siding with GAME LINE. Peter Bowen’s charge was to run respectably around here last year in a similar race from a 15lb higher mark and he did have a valid excuse for defeat at Worcester.
