    Verdict

JACKHAMMER is 4-6 here including this race last year. Despite a recent victory at Hamilton, he’s only 4lb higher than 12 months ago and has obvious claims again. What's The Story, a winner over course and distance two runs ago and third subsequently at York, is the class act but is weighted accordingly. Intercessor reverts to a mile having been in good form over 7f and Dogged was successful at Ripon on his penultimate start. Clear Angel finished ahead of Devasboy when sixth in the Lincoln consolation at Doncaster in April before winning easily at Wetherby. He’ll handle any give in the ground but returns from a short break. Albegrey won easily here nine days ago but this looks tougher and Ayr winner Alpine Sierra will also need to improve further.
