Despite having reservations about his jumping ability, Grangewick Flight has to be the selection against some moderate looking performers. Going well when unseating in races at Market Rasen and Hexham, the nine-year-old was unable to gain what would have been a deserved success back at the Lincolnshire venue last time when beaten a length-and-a-quarter by Richard Guest's Emperor's Magic over 2m4f. The longer trip here should suit and, in a poor contest, Brian Harding's mount looks the one to be one. Should the selection have problems with his fencing again, the most likely danger is Quarterstaff, who has been knocking on the door recently. However, the form of his most recent run took a knock when Left Bank, who beat him at Wetherby, disappointed earlier in the week. At the top of the handicap, Inderdit looks to have plenty of weight for what he has achieved while at the bottom of the weights, Nisbet has to race from 4lbs out of the handicap proper and cannot be backed with confidence. Red Minster has been well held off lower marks than todays on his last two starts and seems harshly treated at present, while Joe Di Capo has a poor win rate having only scored once in his career so far. He is hardly betting material so we are happy to stick with the selection Grangewick Flight.
