Verdict

Hanalei Bay got up late to win over a mile at Ayr three weeks ago so the drop back in trip doesn't look the obvious move. Saying that, the drop back to 7f worked for Imperator Augustus at Catterick last time and he's upped 6lb for that success. Orwellian is another with a shout on his latest second at Musselburgh but a chance is taken that AL KHAN can return to his best. He won over 6f here last month but this extra furlong is no problem and Ollie Pears' charge scored off higher marks than this last year.
