In depth

Verdict

OUR LUCAS (NAP) and Brian Hughes landed a comfortable Ayr success earlier this month and this doesn't look any stronger so a double may be on the cards. He did finish behind Pc Dixon when the pair last clashed but is now 11lb better off. The latter is an obvious contender but his best has come on heavy ground and the booking of the champion jockey may dilute his price. Perseid can usually be relied upon to run his race at this level and harbours each-way claims along with course and distance winner Hartside.
