Verdict

A competitive field goes to post for this handicap and many can be given chances on their best form but the principals look to be Salinor, True Night, Top Dirham and Goodbye Mr Bond and the tentative vote goes to Salinor despite top weight. The selection has won his two races this season and defeated Climate in game fashion last time out. He has a penalty for that win but he is one of the least exposed in the field and has scope for more improvement so he is taken to win again under conditions that suit. True Night has dropped to a handy mark and rates the main danger after his latest third behind Unscrupulous at Royal Ascot but he is becoming hard to win with and for that reason he is opposed. Goodbye Mr Bond has been in the form of his life in lesser grade of late and he defeated Alchemist Master in good style last time but this is much more competitive and he will have to have improved again to win this. Top Dirham was well backed at York last time out but he was very disappointing. However if there is a strong end to end gallop he would be a danger to all. Tiber Tiger is another that could go well he was a fair second behind Wind Chime last time but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him and he is opposed for that reason. Of the remainder Countykat is another in form but his best form is over a shorter distance and for the winner we return to Salinor.
