In depth

Verdict

Another tough looking contest for punters to unravel. Bold Ransom went up 9lb for landing a strong Haydock handicap but couldn't cope with Grade 2 company in the Peter Marsh there later. Do It For Dalkey is a real course specialist and completed a double in the autumn before a superb effort behind Deep Purple at Sandown. The 14-year-old Victory Gunner is amazingly on his highest mark since 2007 after his 13th success at Ffos Las on Boxing Day but My Boy Paddy blundered his way round Newbury in December on his debut over regulation fences. OVERLADY was once regarded as a bright prospect and beat Bold Ransom over the C&D three years ago. She lost her way but bounced back for her new trainer at Ayr and still looks well treated despite a 9lb rise.
