Verdict

Uncle Charlie came here for a 7f handicap earlier this month and took the lead at this trip and held on well. The drop in distance shouldn't pose a problem though some rain wouldn't go amiss. Geoff Potts has only won once on Turf and that was on soft ground at Leicester but Mutabaahy deserved his first Turf victory at Thirsk though he has a penalty to carry in this slightly better race. BIDDY BRADY has only had seven runs, scoring at Catterick in October and performing well on her reappearance at Ripon. There's more to come from Tim Easterby's filly and she's handed the vote. Ventura Secret won here in July and September though both victories came on heavy going.
