      Verdict

A small but competitive field goes to post for this handicap and most of the runners would have a chance on there best form. However the finish looks sure to involve Thunder Canyon, Activist and Wise Tale. However we will side with Activist he has been in fair form of late over hurdles and he has dropped to a handy mark on the flat. He is proven on the ground and he will be hard to beat with Tom Eaves taking off a handy five pounds. Thunder Canyon rates the main danger he was entitled to need his first run of the season and he is sure to improve now he is stepped back up in trip. Wise Tale is another worthy of consideration. He is well weighted on some of his placed form but he is still a maiden after 15 starts and for that reason he is opposed on this occasion. Sconced is another that could go well but his best form of late is over a longer trip. Of the remainder Faraway Rhythm is a course winner but he has shown very little of late.
