Verdict

The Worlds End would have picked up and carried these in his prime but he is approaching the veteran stage now and the fitting of cheekpieces may be an act of desperation. Teescomponents Lad had four lengths to spare over Small Present at Market Rasen but is 6lb worse off. He had earlier been beaten five lengths by BASS ROCK (NAP) here with course specialist Captain Zebo in fourth. Sandy Thomson’s charge has since finished third at Haydock, eight lengths ahead of Flight Deck, and looks sure to be in the firing-line again. Wowsham looks the pick of Stuart Crawford’s duo making his handicap debut. Saint Dalina was entered at Cheltenham on Friday but was a late non-runner and she is capable of figuring at this level if fully primed..
