In depth

Verdict

This will not take much winning and Red Genie, who shaped well on his debut at Hexham and should go close. He is sure to have learnt from the experience and has nothing to fear from Shinda Mondial, who was some way behind him there. However, Barton Gate could be the one to side with. His dam failed to win a race, but he commands plenty of respect coming from the Easterby yard and has the added bonus of Tony Dobbin in the saddle.
