        Verdict

        Little between JACKHAMMER and Milan Reef at the weights and both are proven in the testing conditions that will pertain. Milan Reef ran a strong race at Haydock on Friday when supported into favouritism in a competitive apprentice handicap and will go close on that evidence. However, his only career success came back in 2017 and he may have to settle for second best again against an in-form Jackhammer who's landed two of his last three and also boasts a course and distance victory, the sole member of the field to do so. He's a smooth traveller who can defy a 7lb rise for his impressive recent success. Fingal's Cave, down to a workable mark, is next best.
