Verdict

A nice race to finish the card where Urban Hymn looks the one to be on, though there is plenty of competition, and Aelred, Grangewick Flight and All Sonsilver should be thereabouts. Preference for Ferdy Murphy's charge is based on an excellent 11 length win at Sedgefield last time, when he looked capable of producing even better. Despite a 13lb rise for that success, he gets the trip well and likes this decent ground, and with doubts about some of the others he can follow up. Aelred is proving hard to win with, but does possess ability. Trip and ground should also suit him, and having been dropped to within 1lb of his most recent winning mark, he has been given a chance. Keen To The Last comes from a stable in form but is better over further than this two and a half miles, while All Sonsilver would be a possible selection but for the fact that he has tended to need a run to get him to peak fitness and this is his reappearance. Of the remainder Grangewick Flight should be involved in the shake up over trip and track that will suit, and a 1lb drop will help his cause too, but he may still not be good enough to peg back the selection, Urban Hymn.
