      Verdict

A small but competitive field goes to post for the first on the card and the principals look to be Ocean Dancer, Air Of Confusion and Lease and we will take a chance on Ocean Dancer. The gelding from the Peter Beaumont yard was a good second on his final run last season behind River City, and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat. Air Of Confusion rates the main danger- he won well last time out when defeating Peeyoutwo. However he will find this harder under his penalty. Lease is also worthy of respect on his win in a seller but this looks more competitive. Of the remainder My Line has been in fair form of late on the flat but it is debatable as to wether he sees out this trip over hurdles so we are happy to stick with Ocean Dancer in the hope that he is fit for this, his seasonal debut.
