      Verdict

      Maximiser made his debut in a Punchestown bumper won by Faugheen before scrambling home in a point to point then winning twice very easily over hurdles. Silsol won the Welsh Champion Hurdle at Ffos Las and ran well in Grade 2 races at Fontwell and Auteuil on his next two starts. Kempton hurdles winner Kingscourt Native had his jumping problems between the flags but is the type to do better now tackling the bigger obstacles but it is SEEYOUATMIDNIGHT who is handed the vote. The Sandy Thomson charge landed the Grade 2 Rendlesham over hurdles at Haydock and subsequently performed with credit at the highest level.
