Verdict

Just four for the opener and DOVE HILL, who won over three miles in point-to-points is taken to win this for Howard Johnson. Third on debut on fast ground at Kelso, the form of that victory was given a boost at the weekend by the winner of that contest, and we can be hopeful that heavy going will suit him slightly better. Bring On The Judge is from a family of dour staying types. He was relatively unfancied on his first foray over hurdles but this step up in trip should bring about significant improvement. Bally Wall won a chase at Ayr off a mark of 109 so it would be disappointing were he good enough to win this. Russinrudi has won a couple of points by big margins and is watched in the market on his first run under rules.
