Spainkris comes out again quickly after finishing runner-up at Hexham on Friday and he can take this handicap, with Magic Combination and Rocket Bleu likely to go well. The selection looked the likely winner for much of the final mile at Hexham, in a race no more competitive than this, and although he stayed on well up the hill he was just collared late on. The benefit of that run will have him spot on here and he can score. Top weight Magic Combination is back on a fair mark now and still possesses some ability. Although his hurdling powers have waned of late, his form on the Flat this summer was good enough to have him involved here and his recent hurdling comeback offered cause for renewed optimism, so he can go well. Of the remainder Rocket Bleu needed his first run and comes from a yard not exactly flying at present. However, his trainer thinks that he needs some cut and we may therefore see some improvement. But Spainkris should be just about right after that recent spin and can take this prize.
