In depth

Verdict

Rich Lord shaped as though he'd appreciate a slightly longer trip when second over 2m2f at Market Rasen last month but there still isn't any evidence that he'll stay this far and he may struggle to thwart southern raider BALLYOLIVER. He's made the long trek up from Herefordshire and is back over his winning trip having not run up to form over 3m at Huntingdon two weeks ago. Classical Mist was just beaten in a mares' race over a slightly shorter trip here last time while a case can also be made for Newcastle first and second, Tipsy Dara and Shadow Boxer, at the weights.
