Verdict

This is not a strong event and making it onto the shortlist are Lagudin, Front Rank, Comical Errors and Good Investment, with the vote going to Lagudin. The selection is an Irish raider who could be reasonably weighted based on his best efforts from across the water. We will find out today, and maybe the betting will help in this respect too. Front Rank is just a pound above a winning mark and gets a decent shout, while Comical Errors is a lightly-raced, promising novice that looks to be on the up. And much as he was disappointing last time, Good Investment would hold claims based on his win the time before, for which he has been raised seven pounds. Of the others, Robert The Bruce and Infini are reasonably weighted based on old form, while Gatorade is well weighted based on his chasing form. Overall, though, we will side with Lagudin in a race where the betting might provide a few clues.
