In depth

Verdict

A tricky contest to get to grips with and Magnificent Seven is only tentatively forwarded as the selection; Fleetfoot Mac, Behavingbadly and Political Cruise are others to bear in mind. Political Cruise picks up a 7lb penalty for winning at Hexham last weekend and has to rate as big threat in his current frame of mind. This faster surface may not be ideal for him though and he needs a little luck on his side. The going is also a concern for Behavingbadly, who needs plenty of juice below to be seen at his best. nevertheless, he has held his own at this level in the past and a bold attempt cannot be ruled out. Fleetfoot Mac was also a winner last time out and will be dangerous to ignore. However, he is now 12lb higher in the weights and has stiff test ahead of him. Therefore, we switch to the in-form Magnificent Seven, who will be suited by the conditions and, as he reverts to fences on a fair mark, top weight may not be such a burden in this company.
