In depth

Verdict

Applaus has form here and is on a decent mark but he disappointed again last time at Wetherby. Global Agreement was under pressure when falling at Lingfield last month but was keeping on, though is probably a few pounds too high now. Zabeel Champion makes his handicap debut after a couple of solid runs at Leicester. There should be more to come but MALPAS (NAP) won over track and trip in the autumn and his latest second to Socialist Agenda, who was receiving 6lb, at Catterick was franked when the winner scored again at Musselburgh on Saturday off a mark of 118.
