Mark Johnston has unveiled some useful two-year-olds here in the past and Absconder, a half-brother to two winners, would be interesting if attracting market support. El Beau and Toboggan Star are other newcomers worth a second look but some of those with experience set a decent standard. Rough Courte would have a big chance if reproducing her latest run in a Listed race at Newmarket, though has had plenty of chances. Ixelles Diamond has yet to run a bad race while Chamberlain and the once-raced Boogangoo have shown definite signs of promise. But AZAGAL appears to have the plum draw in this big field and can take advantage. She was just behind Rough Corte over 5f at Thirsk in May but the faster ground and extra distance here is probably in her favour and her latest second at Doncaster was a fine effort.
