In depth

Verdict

UNCLE ALASTAIR was sent off favourite at Ayr on his hurdling debut having won a couple of bumper races. He was still travelling well when falling four from home and gets another chance in this. Go Go Lucas is penalised for winning a maiden hurdle at Hexham while Blunder Buss went close at Sedgefield last month but on fast ground. Planet Nine is a dual bumper winner and should improve on last month’s hurdling bow at Wetherby while point-to-point winner Knockrobin debuts under Rules.
