    Verdict

Redsensor can put one over on Doctor Robert, with Soggy Dollar and newcomer Captain Webb worth a mention at least. Redsensor looked nailed one to open his account sooner rather than later after finishing runner-up on two of his first three starts. However, Richard Hannon's juvenile failed to trouble the judge at Newbury last time, and is now stepped up to a trip more in keeping with his breeding. We shall give him another chance, with Doctor Robert put up as the main danger. The Roger Charlton inmate has also hit the woodwork on a couple of occasions, most recently over a mile at Windsor where he ran out of steam after looking the likely winner with a furlong to go. A little more restraint should help his cause today. Soggy Dollar was also too keen when eventually fourth in a nursery at Ayr, and on breeding will be seen to better effect when tried over further next year. Mark Johnston has that many two-year-olds out at present it is hard to keep track of them, but we can be sure that Captain Webb will be turned out fit. It would be no surprise to see him figure, but Redsensor gets the vote.
