Verdict

BLOODSWEATANDTEARS beat Hawk Moth in this by five lengths last year with World Record back in fourth. He's 4lb higher now but a repeat may be on the cards, though Toffee Apple is unlikely to have made the long trip down from Lanarkshire without good reason and has won at Hamilton and Beverley this season. Funny Oyster should also get involved in the closing stages and Admirable Art can't be ignored as he won over course and distance in July and George Downing's claim takes care of most of a 4lb rise in the weights.
