This is as bad as it gets and Fortune Point is taken to give Martin Pipe a quick-fire double. He has done most of his racing at trips short of this, but as he proved at Windsor last year when beaten half-a-length by Irvington, he does stay this trip well enough. The main race looks to be for second spot. Dispol Evita is effective here, but has gone a long time without winning, while Rojabaa has been hurdling, without success since last seen on the flat back in April, when he ran a sound enough race behind Absolute Utopia in a similar contest to this. A reproduction of that effort should see him in the frame. Having just had the four outings to date, you would think Conchonita would have some improvement in her. She is out of a mare that stayed 12-furlongs, so she should be at home over this trip. Fittleworth will be all the better for his effort at Goodwood last month and his supporters will be looking for a good run from Downtherfordancin in the previous race. It isn't hard to see him running a sound race at this level.
