Verdict

SEA ODYSSEY was never in danger when cruising home in a Lingfield Polytrack maiden and has been found an excellent follow-up opportunity here. The booking of Matthew Lawson more than offsets the 6lb penalty for that success and the rampant form of the resurgent Barry Hills team strengthens confidence in the Dark Angel colt. Leenavesta failed to justify favouritism at Lingfield last time over 6f when looking in need of further, so it's interesting that the Hannon team have chosen to revert to the minimum trip. Dark Ages appeared to have his limitations exposed the last twice, Clarkson needs to improve considerably on what he has achieved to date and Selinda's brace of successes have both arrived in poor selling grade at Yarmouth.
