In depth

Verdict

A typically competitive classified stakes contest in which the benefit of a previous run this term gives Mister Arjay a fitness edge over Pagan Storm, with Brazilian Terrace and Tease looking the best of the remainder. The selection has to improve a bit judged by official BHB ratings but is less exposed than most of his rivals, is potentially a useful colt and the son of Mister Baileys is taken to reward his trainer¿s patience. Good wood Prince and Pagan Storm have to concede weight away all round but the former has shown little worthwhile form in two starts this term while the latter has yet to race and may need the outing. Brazilian Terrace showed improved form to win at Yarmouth last September and has claims if coming on for her return at Ripon last month, while Tease has a poor strike-rate. A market move for Vindication would be interesting.
