      Verdict

      Red Charmer has been making hay under big weights in amateur races so today’s burden is unlikely to bother him. But he’s taking on tougher opposition in this while De Vegas Kid is upped a further 4lb despite missing out on a four-timer when only third at Yarmouth back in June. DUKE OF NORTH has won over course and distance in the past and landed a double at Epsom in July. Well beaten in a higher grade last time, he may prove good enough back at this level. Archie would have a shout if taking part but was due to run at Wolverhampton yesterday.
