    Verdict

Just five runners but Puzzle Time is well named as any one of the quintet, including Giles Bravery's five-times winner, could go home with the spoils though she seems best with a bit of cut in the ground. The latter remark also applies to Headline News, whose last victory was over 1m4f on good to soft ground at Newmarket. She may get taken off her feet unless the going eases considerably. MAVEN has won eight times in her career, most of them at this trip on good or faster going or the all-weather. She's very close to her usual winning mark and Rachel Richardson has ridden her to victory previously so this could be success number nine. Starlit Cantata goes for a hat-trick after two Polytrack victories but she's 6lb higher and has never won on Turf. Miss Lucy Jane completed a double here in mid-summer and will be better for her return on ground too soft at Nottingham.
