In depth

Verdict

Another tricky contest for punters to work out and a speculative vote is given to Gigs Magic, Hits Only Cash and Sir Bond have to be major rivals. The selection does at least have recent winning form, dead-heating with The Bonus King over this trip at Southwell. He returns to the turf on a fair enough mark and should be capable of going close. Sir Bond is not the most consistent performer but if running up to his recent form when chasing home Sedge at Thirsk, he would have a big chance. Hits Only Cash is a more reliable type but the handicapper may just have him in grip at present, although a place could be in the offing. Blue Empire could be the best of the rest, but our idea of the winner is Gigs Magic.
