Verdict

Mininggold went up 4lb for scoring over the course and distance earlier this month but ran even better when a close third on soft ground in a stronger race at Ascot a week later. She has a good strike-rate and a high draw is often a help when there is some give in the ground here. Lydia's Place isn't the most consistent but she's on a lower mark than when last successful in May. She's won over the track and trip as has Jacob's Pillow, though looks held on the form book. Dirchill, who has only raced over 6f, landed a Hamilton maiden before not beaten far on a return visit and has some scope while Astrophysics likes it around here and the assessor is giving him a chance. SUWAAN (NAP) won a minor handicap at Musselburgh before stepping into Class 4 company from 5lb higher at Doncaster and being beaten a head. In that kind of form, he should take the world of beating here.
