Verdict

Pumaflor may have been on a four-timer but for an unlucky run at Thirsk earlier this month which he made up for with a battling victory at Pontefract. He's been raised 6lb but regular pilot Rob Hornby claims his 5lb and another big run is anticipated. Godolphin's New Strategy has produced all of his best runs, including a Newmarket victory, on ground with some give and his only poor effort was on firm going. Unnoticed just failed to concede Make On Madam 4lb here earlier this month when finishing very strongly. Surprisingly he's 2lb worse off but the winner has since run moderately and Ollie Pears' charge can gain revenge. Swift Approval has been racing in better company but it's MUSTAQBAL who earns the vote as he scored over this trip at Musselburgh in May and has only been fading in the closing stages in subsequent races over a mile.
