In depth

Verdict

The draw has been very kind to Far Note and, as such, the six-year-old gets the nod over Xanadu and Kangarilla Road, who have both been expensive to follow on their travels over the last few seasons. The same comments apply to Obe One and Roman Mistress, who have plenty of ability when they decide to put their mind to the task in hand. However, like a number of the rest, they are in danger of becoming frustrating and are for the brave only. Karminskey Park and Dizzy In The Head, on the other hand, are holding their own this term and do have sound claims of making the frame, the last named especially, if he handles the faster than ideal surface tonight. Five furlongs is a little bit of a negative for him, which hands the baton back to Far Note, who is ideally drawn to reverse recent for with Karminskey Park. This trip is also probably the optimum for Roy Bowring's charge who has everything in his favour to extend his run of good form so far this season.
