Union Spirit and Silver Mission were both engaged to run in the same race at Haydock yesterday. Jaaizah makes her handicap debut and would have claims if handling the quicker ground. Rudy Lewis was all out to land an apprentices’ race at Haydock nine days ago but escapes a penalty and Cieren Fallon is in the saddle again. Regal Mirage and Five Helmets are both seeking a third course victory and Zihaam is chasing win number five around here. All but one of Bit Of A Quirke’s seven career victories have come on this track so he can’t be ignored but AL KHABEER is fancied to finally get his head in front today. Only beaten half-a-length in a novice event over track and trip in June, he didn’t quite see out the 1m4f at Pontefract last time but a fast-run race here could prove ideal.
