In depth

Verdict

Dancing Rave makes a quick reappearance after a third at Haydock on Sunday. Ghalib isn’t badly treated but would have preferred a longer trip and may struggle from an outside berth. Stoney Lane could reward each-way support but Dawaaween left Owen Burrows’ stable after disappointing at Kempton at the end of October. Ruth Carr excels with others’ cast-offs and it will be surprise if she doesn’t find a race for ATHMAD, who had a pipe-opener at Newcastle in March. He was well regarded as a juvenile and has tumbled down the ratings. Stringybark Creek won off a 2lb higher mark here a year ago and will be happy to be back on Turf after a stint on the all-weather so can’t be ignored.
