Verdict

An open contest but ZIHAAM was winning for the sixth time here when landing last year’s renewal and is racing off the same mark today. He beat Little Jo on that occasion and the latter placed at Pontefract recently while Al Qaasim beat Dogged when scoring at the same track last month. Strangerontheshore was caught on the line when dead-heating for first over track and trip while Plumette and Lucayan have been in good form on the all-weather. Bavardages won at Southwell last time but is without a win on Turf in 12 previous attempts.
