In depth

Verdict

ROSE GARNET was having only the fourth start of her career when a very good second to Rigid Rock in a big field at Naas where she was in the front rank throughout. This shorter trip looks just what's required for her to gain her first success. Queen Grace will be a big threat as she has been narrowly beaten in her last three starts and will surely be losing her maiden tag before long. She is closely matched with C&D winner Mt Weather on recent form but has more scope than the veteran. Withnail is held by the selection on their run at Naas but is generally consistent but Fleet Captain is slowly returning to the kind of form that saw him score for Kevin Ryan a year ago and could prove a threat.
