Verdict

This is a tight track and a low draw usually helps so Pillar may struggle for an early position. He's very consistent at this level which is why the assessor can't drop him despite a strike-rate of 1-29. Suburban Sky is better drawn but has an even worse record and hasn't run since October. CALM BAY and Catwilldo are both course and distance winners and met at Down Royal last month with the former just doing best in second place. This sharper track will play to his strengths and he can gain his ninth victory on his 109th start. Molans Mare was fancied to lose her maiden tag at Hamilton but didn't look happy on the soft ground and she's not well drawn here.
