    Verdict

A search for any worthwhile form in this poor contest would prove fruitless. KING CALYPSO gets only a token vote having posted a better effort when fourth at Warwick on his seasonal debut. Satin Waters also finished closer at Kempton last time despite managing only fifth. Flying Author was still beaten 10 lengths when runner-up at Lingfield but San Quentin wasn't beaten that far when fourth at Dundalk in September though that was over 7f.
