Verdict

Beat The Bell is top weight in this contest having gained seven pounds for a one and a quarter length victory over Cornus, but we feel ORANGE PIP and Night Affair could provide a stiff challenge. Beat The Bell won well at Folkestone over faster ground and is difficult to overlook having gained two wins out of three races. Orange Pip gains our vote after an impressive win on her seasonal reappearance at Lingfield on the all-weather track. The chestnut mare who was previously trained by Richard Hannon won in her first outing for Peter Makin. Both Misaro and Kyllachy Storm have won over course and distance before, with Kyllachy Storm having won twice here in May 2009. However, Kyllachy Storm has generally not performed as well since, with the exception of a victory at Kempton in April. Considering the competition it will really depend upon who gets the best start and Palisades Park has a potentially advantageous draw. Orange Pip was very quickly away the last time we saw her from a wide draw and therefore Orange Pip is our pick for the final race of the meeting at Bath.
