Verdict

Easily the best in at the weights based on the ratings THE THRILL IS GONE should take this Novice Stakes race ahead of the very much on form Belle Bayardo while Tipsy Girl isn't weighted out of a challenge. A winner of a maiden three starts ago the selection has found just the one too good in a couple of subsequent runs including behind the progressive and smart Zebedee in a listed contest. That form sets the standard and she looks the class act. That said Belle Bayardo chases the hat-trick here having just got up in a handicap before destroying a small field in a similar event to this at Chepstow. On this form he should be in the mix but looking at the framing of the race he has plenty to find. Tipsy Girl is weighted to get the better of the one we've just mentioned but it's disappointing she hasn't won since her opening gambit. Snow Bear was a nice winner on debut but will need to show more this time so this all looks set up for The Thrill Is Gone.
